WHAT TO DO DURING THE PERIOD OF UNCERTAINTY

Hello Blog Bestie, how is life treating you? What is the eighth month of the year like? Are you already smashing your goals or are you saying “Let’s see how things go”?

Today’s blog is just an update about what has been happening to me recently and just about the goodness of God.

Generally, I have been fine but specifically in some areas not so well. Recently I haven’t been feeling myself, a bit anxious about the next phase in my life. My NYSC (National Youth Service Corps) year would be over in 2 months and that’s in October and that has made me anxious about what I would be doing next. Would I stay in Lagos or go back home to Delta? Am I going to be retained at my workplace or would I be working at a different organization?  Due to this worry, I ended up not writing anything or sending anything out last week *I apologize*.

But this week I am not going to let that happen. During the course of last week to this week, I felt God reassuring me of everything, telling me it is going to be all right and I do not need to worry too much, just lay down my burdens on Him, and honestly when I did, I felt so much more at peace.

Today’s blog is to tell you that God is always with you. If you are like me and you are about to move into a new phase in your journey of life, and so many things seem blurry and uncertain, I want to tell you that God is saying relax, He is with you and would not forsake you on this journey.

I was studying the book of Proverbs 16 yesterday and three verses came to me…

1. Go ahead and make all the plans you want, but it’s the Lord who will ultimately direct your steps. 3. Before you do anything, put your trust totally in God and not in yourself. Then every plan you make will succeed. 9. Within your heart, you can make plans for your future, but the Lord chooses the steps you take to get there. Proverbs 16:1;3;9  (TPT)

From these scriptures, God literally put my heart to rest

So, what I would say is, while you are planning for your new phase, take God along with you through the process. In case, you are feeling very anxious try to evaluate yourself if truly you are relying on God and committing your plans to him because we could say that we trust God and yet still be setting other plans outside God.

If you have any encouraging words you would like to share with someone who may be going through a rough patch or someone who is about to step into their next level, please share them in the comment section.

To end today’s blog, I am saying this prayer to you, I pray that you would trust God during this phase of your life and you would receive strength from God. I pray that your strength is renewed and you would forever remember that God’s plan for you is of good and not of evil, a plan of an exciting expected end. Till I write again…

Thank you so much for this, Omoye!!! We are in similar situations and I really trust God to guide us through. One thing I am taking away is that His plans for me are of good and not of evil. Thank you for the timely reminder. 🧡🧡🧡
