4 THINGS YOU SHOULD DO BEFORE YOU START ANYTHING

Hello Blog Bestie, I couldn’t post yesterday because I was trying to fix up my YouTube channel, edit my video and also got caught up with work. So my apologies 😊. At this point, I am thinking of what I would write and what I would name today’s blog post but let’s see where the Spirit leads us to.

Before I give you the full gist about my YouTube Journey, How are you doing? How has these past six months been for you? On Instagram, I saw some posts about what they achieved in these past six months, well I would share mine here and I would also love to hear about yours in the comment section.

First, I got settled into my own apartment in January, I finished reading my first book in February, Started a consistency post on Instagram in March, grew closer to God and build a good relationship with my friend in April, wrote part of my professional exam in May, passed my professional exam in June and also completed 100 Days of Discipleship with Pastor Emmanuel Iren in June as well and In July greater things are coming through for me.

So these past six months has been amazingly great and the major thing I want to share in today’s blog post is my YouTube Channel. Honestly speaking, when the thought came about to create a YouTube channel, I thought it was a smooth ride but ohh well, it isn’t that smooth. I think I didn’t just prepare my mind well. First, sitting in front of a camera for over 5 minutes is a lot. When I was done shooting, the entire video was 9 minutes but by the time I finished editing, it reduced to 4 minutes. Editing is a lot 😤.

While I was editing, I remembered I wanted an intro in the video and I was stuck at first because nothing was coming to me for the intro video until few hours to my closing time at work, I decided to use canva to create an intro and add to the video. Then the next step was what sound do I want to use for the video, I got a sound from the app I was using to edit my video which is Capcut.

Finally, by 5 pm,   I was done with editing and when I wanted to schedule the video, I found out I had not exported my Thumbnail, so I opened the PSD file which Photoshop file and export it as JPEG. Yesterday, Friday was a lot 😅. And from everything I faced yesterday, I want to share 4 lessons that can help you have a smooth ride if you are about to start something new;

Research: The first time I did research for YouTube was last year, I didn’t do much this year and not doing enough research, made me slow in completing my first video and some other processes. So if you are about to start something new, Please do a lot of research as you can.

Clarity: be clear on what you want to achieve, how you want everything to look like, and what you want out of the whole thing, because that keeps you more guided and focused. When you know what you are doing and what you want to achieve, you put in more effort.

Create a Structure/System/Plan: I couldn’t pick one of them but you get my gist right? Creating a structure or a system or plan to achieve what you want to achieve helps with organization and would not make the whole process chaotic. You know what to do at a particular time.

Trust God: I believe trusting God throughout the process helps you and guide you. Most times redirects you when you are lost or confused. With God, you know all things are possible and He is forever with you. So trust God and rely on Him for direction throughout the whole process (smooth and rough).

 I didn’t expect to write a lot but… I did anyway 🫣🙈. Now what I would want from you is to click on the link below and rush down to YouTube, watch my video till the end, subscribe, like, and comment below.  I would be waiting for you in the comment section on YouTube https://youtu.be/MYk5urJdRO0. Bye and I love you 💙🧡

Till I write again…

Your Blog Bestie,

Omoye
