WHAT IS MY WORTH IN CHRIST

Hello Blog Bestie, Welcome to the Month of August. Although it is not my month, I have a big announcement soon, not today though 😅. Anyways I welcome you into a month of greatness and growth and all-round progress and advancement. You receive direction, guidance, and wisdom to do all that God has installed for you and in you, this month, and God in His infinite mercy would fulfill all your expectation far beyond your imagination. Amen

I just had to say that short prayer but as the culture of the community for regular checking up 😅. How are you doing? How is the month of August going for you? Do you have lots of expectations this month or do you just want to see as it goes? Regardless of it, I want you to remember that one with God is Majority.

For me, I am good and the month started on a good note. I am building forever friendships with my friends and we are having more intentional and intimate discussions. On July 30th, one of my friends sent me a message and suggested a topic that I should talk about, which is “MY WORTH IN CHRIST JESUS”. I asked him to shed more light, so I could understand what he wanted me to write about.

We had a mini talk about it and I can say that we have a guest writer for today’s blog post. Please welcome my friend; Odunayo Samuel 😊.

Let’s quickly dive into what he wants us to get and understand; First you may ask, what do you mean by worth in Christ Jesus and you are free to question that. Today’s blog is just to set a reminder to your heart of what you are worth because you are in Christ.

The first reason why you have worth is because you were created in the Image and likeness of God, you came from God Himself, and that was why you are worth the price that Christ paid.  So if that question comes to your mind about your worth, you need to remember that you are worth it because you came from God. You find your identity and purpose in Him.

After Christ died and redeemed us back to God, whom we were always supposed to be with. We became worthy to stand before God and call Him Abba Father because Christ has paid the price. So when the devil questions you why you are in the presence of God, tell him you are worthy of it and He has no say about it.

Remember, just as your worth is in Christ’s own life and His worth never changes regardless of anybody’s opinion, so is your worth fixed and never changes. It means that your worth never changes before God, your worth is rooted in something deeper than someone’s opinion, and your worth is rooted in the unwavering opinion of God.

Most times we are unaware of this worth we have within us, of the potential, and gift God has granted us, because we are yet to understand our identity. Once you know who you are, you know what you are worth. Let’s say you were unaware that you are the Son or Daughter of a Billionaire, and then because of that lack of knowledge, you are not able to reach some places as you should because of your current identity. But when you become aware of that knowledge there’s hardly any place you cannot enter, all you have to do is call your father’s name and you would be allowed.

Just as in these examples, some of us seem not to know who we are In Christ, we call ourselves Sons and Daughters of the Most High but we don’t live to that standard. As I earlier mentioned, your worth is in God and He is the only one who has a say. So when others are telling you because of this sin or that issue, you cannot come before your Father, remind them that those sin has been forgiven and God is the only one who can judge you.

You become aware of your worth when you become aware of your identity. Read Romans 8:15, Ephesians 1:5, 1 Corinthians 7:23, Proverbs 31:10

Remember just as Jesus’ sense of worth is based on His identity as the Son of God, your sense of self-worth is based on your identity as a Child of God, who is the Most High God.

Till I write again…
