FIND YOUR IDENTITY AND PURPOSE IN CHRIST

Proverbs 31:25

Hi, welcome to my blog, I hope this post meets you well. I’m really glad you will be reading this and pray that you gain understanding. Before we dive in, I would like to know how you were doing when you saw the link to my post and decided to read it.

So now we can dive in😅

It’s a new year and a lot of us are trying to find our pathway or foothold in this world, trying to know ourselves and know our abilities, this was something I struggled with a lot when I started my Christian journey, finding my identity, my purpose, and ministry (I wanted to be a person of value).

My quest for self-discovery resulted in a deeper awareness of who I was when I gave my life to God. I gained into the university and all I wanted to do was study Accounting, finish my studies, work in a firm and make money. Right now, I can’t identify that as my purpose on earth.

In my 300 level the second semester, I started having the desire to grow, to know what I’m on earth for, and to gain an understanding of what my life would be like outside school, I had questions about all these since I came to school but the reality dawn on me, when I was about entering my final year.

I noticed that I could only know my purpose when I found my identity in Christ. I won’t be blogging now if I don’t know what God has called me to do. Blogging has never been my intention.

 Dear Blog Besties, are you finding it hard to know yourself, to know your identity, well I have something for you. You can only know what you need to do on earth in Christ, your identity, and purpose can only be found in Christ. Whether it is a career path or a business you want to start, a course you want to study, or a university you want to attend.

It is because whatever it may be it would always be aligned with the purpose God has for you. So dear blog bestie, stop struggling alone to discover yourself and invite God to help you.

Let me share a story with you;

Before I gained admission to the university, I had no idea what university I wanted to attend, and then one day, I  heard about Bowen University, and my heart just became convinced to go there, and my registration was successful, although that was not my first choice in Jamb. My entrance exam was a day before my birthday and I was sick, I wrote the exam like that, and travelled from Delta State to River State particularly Port Harcourt, to write the exam.

Let me explain what happened, the person that was supposed to register me for my first choice did not do so on time, so I missed my chance and my dad decided I should register for A’levels or what some people know as Jupeb and the date for that exam was a day before my resumption to Bowen university.

I had already received admission for the course I wanted. I never sat down to write that A’Levels exam. I just resumed to Bowen like that. I was a bit worried about my course of study since I had not done it in school as a subject or written it in my Jamb, or read for the exam, which I was also sick for but God came through for me.

I’m not sure how my life would have gone if I had gone to the choice my dad had for me, but I very well know that God had wonderful plans for me in Bowen and He saw me through everything, journey mercies, financial provision, and Gift of Men. The essence of this long story is that every decision you are making concerning your life should be directed by God, to fulfil His purpose in your life.

I would like to recommend a book for you to read, that would help you understand your purpose better, it is called Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren. You would surely find it interesting

Let’s confess this;

I Marvellous (insert your name) will always find my identity in Christ. Whenever I feel lost, I will return to my father for guidance, direction, and clarity. Whenever I need to decide my life, I will seek His (God’s) Opinion first. My purpose on earth will forever be to please and glorify God.

Till I write again…

Your Blog Bestie,

Omoye💙
