SMASHING GOALS

Hi, welcome to this week blog’s post. The month of January is ending in a few days and this would be our last post for the month. I would like to know how January has been for you generally. How did the month treat you?

For me, it has been a roller coaster, started working this month, moved into my apartment, and luckily for me, it is close to my PPA (Primary Place of Assignment). I’m still settling down in Lagos (It’s a state in Nigeria).

That’s true, I have been mentioning settling down a lot, but reallyyy, I can’t say I have settled down yet because I still have something to do.

I had something else I wanted to share today, but after coming back from my CDS (Community Development Service) yesterday, I felt led to speak about this.

The month of January most times gives plenty of us pressure, we set new goals, new habits we want to form, basically new things that can make us grow.

Today, I would be sharing some things with you, which is “what to do while smashing your goals”;

  • As much as it is important to smash your goals, please make sure you are also taking care of your physical and mental health. No matter how it is talked about, it remains important, because if you are not fit mentally or physically, it would limit you from achieving some goals.
  • Learn to enjoy your growth journey, and stay focused on the journey while the end goal is in view. Make sure that while you are smashing those goals, you are feeling fulfilled and you’re not getting burnt out. You are enjoying and embracing every bit.
  • Connect those goals to something really meaningful. Let every one of your goals have a personal meaning to you, so you have better reasons to enjoy the process.
  • Finally, don’t pressure yourself unnecessarily. I’m not saying don’t push yourself to do things, I am saying push yourself to do the thing, but don’t allow the pressure to overwhelm you that you no longer enjoy what you are doing or learn from your growth.

Let’s make a Confession together;

ME, I’m not going to put myself unnecessary pressure,

I will enjoy and learn from my Journey,

I will impact with my growth,

I smash my goals with good health (physically & mentally).
