LIVING A HOLY LIFE

Hello! Welcome to this week’s blog post. I’m glad you are part of the readers of today’s post, and I take this opportunity to wish you a Happy New Month in advance.

On today’s blog post, I would be sharing insights on living a Holy Life.

When you hear Holiness, what comes to your mind as a believers, is it about your attending church service, faithfulness with your tithe or is it about living a life set apart for God?

1 Peter 1:15-16 (AMP) says, But like the Holy One who called you, be holy yourselves in all your conduct (be set apart from the world by your Godly character and moral courage); because it is written, "You shall be Holy (set apart), For I AM HOLY.

The scripture above states that being Holy or living a Holy Life simply means living a life set apart to Glorify God, a life that pleases God and is fully dedicated to God.

As Christians, we are called to be Holy, as the called-out ones are to be Holy and acceptable unto Christ. In our activities at work, and class, our actions, our thoughts, and our behavior should all be set apart in Glorifying God. True Holiness is a life pleasing to God on all levels possible.

1 Thessalonian 4:7 (AMP)-For God has not called us to impurity, but to holiness (to be dedicated, and set apart by behavior that pleases Him, whether in public or in private).

Before I started typing, I had to watch some videos about Holiness and it was mentioned that they are two meanings of Holiness; Primary meaning (separate or different from others) and Secondary meaning (Personal righteousness and purity). click the link to check out the message https://youtu.be/K96e1tK7eN4

We are placing our focus more on the primary meaning which is to be separate and in a clearer way set apart, plainly different from the norms of the world. To that which is Holy is to that which is different.

Living Holy as it may seem complex, it is really simple. It is all about living different, living according to the Word of God rather than the system of this World. Living to please God in everything you do and we know several ways to please God, full obedience to Him and trusting Him in all circumstamces.

Do not think you cannot be Holy, you are a co-heir with Christ and we are to live as Christ lived on earth. Check the scriptures and you would know He (Christ) lived a life set apart. God has given us the power and grace to be Holy.

1 Thessalonian 3:13- Then your hearts will be strengthened in holiness so that you may be flawless and pure before the face of our God and Father at the appearing of our Lord Jesus with all his ones. Amen!

Keep in mind, you need to desire to live Holy because it is a decision you make that would cause your actions to line up with the Word of God. Don’t forget it is not by works but by the spirit. The Holy Spirit is available to help you, allow Him.

Confession:

I live a Holy life set apart to please God
I live a Holy life set part from the system of this World
I live a Holy life set part that Glorifies God
I live a Holy life set apart like Christ’s life

I would like to hear from you in the comment section, what you think about when you are asked. “what does living a Holy Life mean?” Have a lovely weekend living a Holy life.

Till I write again…
