Hello, welcome to my blog. If you haven’t read last week’s post-https://journeywithomoye.com/2023/03/03/building-the-right-habits-for-exceeding-growth/ I would advise you to read that before continuing this.
Anyways, how are you doing right now? I mean what’s your present feeling when you clicked on the link to read it?
Today’s blog is a continuation of last week’s blog post. This month is all about building the right habits for exceeding growth and today’s major concern would be the spiritual aspect of exceeding growth.
As Christians, at the beginning of the year, we made goals and resolutions in our spiritual life but are you keeping at it? I hope you didn’t stop after 2 weeks or after January finished.
To continue or achieve that goal, you need systems in your spiritual life and I would be talking about systems that build your spiritual life.
One of our primary goals as Christians every year is to know God more and build a better relationship with Him, but you can’t know Him if you don’t have the habit of communicating with Him and you can do that through Prayer and Bible Study. Build a system to pray and study the Word of God daily, because you can only know God well by dwelling with Him, and spending time with Him. Just think, when you want to know your partner better, you talk and spend time, that’s how it should be with God.
The second goal is to serve God better and you can do that by listening and obeying instructions given to you by the Holy Spirit. This calls for total obedience, so build the habits of obeying and trusting God. It is not only about listening or hearing the instructions, you have to take a further step by obeying.
Another scenario, I would give you is, as you are to obey the instructions your parents give to you, you are also to be in complete obedience to God. Being obedient takes our spiritual growth to a higher dimension because God can rely on you for missions and different assignments.
The third goal is about growing in your faith, and you can grow in faith by constantly trusting God. Like Hebrews 11:1- Faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. You are hoping for something miraculous to happen and even when it hasn’t come to reality, you have that belief or trust in God that He would come through. So in growing in your faith, build a habit of trusting in God. It pleases God to know you rely on Him.
Is there any other way Christians can grow exceeding in their spiritual journey? I would love to hear from you in the comment section. Bless a soul today that would read the blog. I love you but Christ loves you more.
Till I write again…
